About Kisuk Yang.
Prof. Kisuk Yang is an Assistant Professor (2021 ~ ) in the Division of Bioengineering at Incheon National University. He received his Ph.D. from Yonsei University under the supervision of Prof. Seung-Woo Cho ( https://scbel.yonsei.ac.kr/ ) in 2016 and completed his postdoctoral training in Prof. Jeff Karp’s lab ( https://www.karplab.net/ ) at BWH, Harvard medical school and Broad institute (MIT and Harvard) (2017 ~ 2021).
Prof.KisukYang works in the fields of stem cell, medical device, and tissue engineering. His laboratory focuses on the design and testing of bioengineered tissues, which are composed of mainly stem cell derived cells (e.g., neural cells, pancreatic cells, and osteogenic cells) and tissue-specific extracellular matrix scaffolds. The overall goal is to develop new strategiesto assemble and test bioengineered constructs capable of restoring tissue function.
